The UCLan Sports Studies programme provides students with the opportunity to develop a range of skills and experiences which ensure upon graduation they are equipped to adapt and secure roles in a range of related sectors.
The undergradute course has three key themes running through the programme; a traditional socio-cultural selection of modules, a physical education strand and a health and personal fitness theme.
Students also have the opportunity to follow a coaching, management and development path through the selection of certain option modules.
The programme is aligned with various professional associations and there are opportunities for students to display the various skills they are taught through linkages with various partners. There are opportunities to undertake placements both in the UK and worldwide and students are also given the opportunity to study abroad for a period of time.
We are aware of the skills required in this ever changing economic environment through various consultations with employers and we ensure UCLan graduates have the pre-requisite skills to adapt and change by supporting their needs and ambitions.
